Our professional development regional workshops
this past year were a great success. We had 166 teachers attended
Integrative
Curricular Workshops in technology training (Microsoft PowerPoint) and the integration of environmental health
science into science, math, English, and social studies classes.
2005 Scientists’ Visits to Classrooms During 2005, Environmental Health Scientist Visits were provided to
over 40 rural TRSI public school districts to reach an excess of
4,400 public school students.
The PEER Program is composed of two grants entitled, "Environmental and Rural Health Education Partnership" and "Integrating Environmental Health Science in Rural Schools."
