Peer Intensive Navigation -- What is PEER Intensive?

This 5-day training workshop will be held at Texas A&M University on June 10-14, 2002 to provide educational opportunities in both environmental health science and instructional technology.

PEER INTENSIVE 2002 will include sessions that address environmental health science issues for use in the classroom, and will provide instruction in water quality testing to promote participation in our Statewide Water Quality Experiment. Other sessions of the INTENSIVE will focus on hands-on training and unlimited access to nationally recognized, online, instructional tools and resources. These resources are available to districts across the state at no charge. The INTENSIVE sessions will also spotlight online professional development solutions and resources. Participants will learn how other Texas educator's are using these wonderful teaching tools. In addition, each participant will learn how to create a web-based science lesson for their students by using the award winning TrackStar and QuizStar.

PEER encourages all PEER Partners (6th-8th grade science teachers in TRSI eligible school districts) to fill out our online application by April 30, 2002, in order to be considered for participation in PEER Intensive 2002.
