This activity is designed to allow students to recognize environmental problems in their own area. 
Materials
Activity worksheet. Information there can be transferred to a national database, located at http://library.thinkquest.org/11353/indexframe2.htm

Procedure:

Identify an environmental problem in your area. Discuss it with the class. Do you have any tips on what should be done to prevent or deal with the problem? Report the problem on your worksheet. If the teacher thinks that your local problem and solution is unique, you can copy and paste your information into the form at Web site link above.
