Opportunities for Collaboration with Texas A&M University

Collaboration opportunities for middle schools:

  1. NSF Grant Collaboration with TAMU for Texas Middle School Teachers
Middle school teachers interested in having Texas A&M students being a resource to them through telecommunications (Internet and email) are encouraged to learn more about our NSF program.

  2. Aggie Day 2008

Aggie Day is sponsored by USPC Rio Grande Region but is open to any interested persons, assuming space is available.  The program this year will be similar to previous Aggie Days.  We will start with a tour of the Texas A&M Veterinary Hospital followed by 2 equine topic lectures in the morning.  We will break for a boxed lunch (included in the registration fee).  The highlight of the afternoon will be the 20 station laboratory – “What is Under the Skin?”  The day will conclude with a discussion on what is required for entrance into college and veterinary school.  Aggie Day is geared for children 7 years old to adults.

Interested persons may contact Dr. Larry Johnson at ljohnson1@tamu.edu.
