In this activity, students will be assigned a particular organelle to research. They will then use critical thinking and problem solving skills to come up with the best way to represent their organelle on a ceiling model of either a plant or animal cell and complete a report on their research. There is an accompanying worksheet that has the students compare organelles to important parts of a city emphasizing the function of each organelle in the cell.
